Nefasit, also known as Tappa Nefasit, is a small town in the Northern Red Sea Region of Eritrea, 25 kilometers from Asmara. It lies at an altitude of 1950 meters above sea leave. In such short distance one will descent 450 meters. The Monastery of Debre Bizen is located at the mountains above Nefasit.
