The Kunama (koo-NAH-mah), who were historically known as the "Baza" and "Bazen" by their neighbors, is a Nilo-Saharan ethnolinguistic group that inhabits the Gash-Barka region of Eritrea. They make up around 2% of the Eritrean population and are mostly sedentary farmers. Depending on the source, their name is thought to mean "those whom I call people" or "natural".
Day 01- Arrivals
Arrive at Asmara International Airport and transfer to the Hotel. Overnight in Asmara.
Day 02 – Kunnama Community
A breath taking drive from 2400 meters above sea level, Asmara, to covers a distance of 238 kilometers. All the way it is asphalt road. It is a comfortable drive.
